Welcome to the new ASME Affinity Communities News weblog! My name is Justin Young. I am Vice President responsible for the identification, development, and support of affinity communities of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
I and my board will be using this blog to keep the world up to date on the latest happenings within ASME’s world of affinity groups and communities. But first, a definition. What is an affinity? According to our friends at Merriam-Webster it is:
A group of people having a common interest or goal or acting together for a specific purpose.
This is why the Affinity Communities Board is here, to help members of ASME find new and exciting affinities with other people.
Over the next three years I will be working hard to make sure ASME’s new affinity communities make a positive impact on the engineering community. So stay tuned. There is more to come.
